Press Release Summary: The Superstars batted first with Vignesh and Harvey opening the batting for them. Razzaq opened the bowling attack.
Press Release Body: Playing on their home turf, Hyderabad Heroes must have certainly let go off the blues which hit them after their initial defeat from the Badshahs. Chennai Superstars had lost their initial match too, but the way these two teams played was entirely different. However what mattered today was a win and not their past performances. This is one area where the Heroes lead their way towards victory and defied all opinions.
The Superstars batted first with Vignesh and Harvey opening the batting for them. Razzaq opened the bowling attack. Runs kept coming in smoothly with boundaries and singles. Strike was being rotated well and it was only just after Power Play that Vignesh lost his wicket. The batsmen following gave some nice shots and runs kept pouring in at a considerably good pace. But the initial momentum could not be maintained by the middle order batsmen and the Chennai Superstars finished at 152 in spite of the good start that they had made.
Maher and Anirudh Singh came in to open strike for the Hyderabad Heroes. Maher could not stay on the pitch for long and Singh also joined him on the next ball. Now it was Rayadu and Boje who had to get in some runs which they managed to do pretty well with Rayadu ending his innings at 16 runs. Kemp joined Boje and then there was simply no looking back. Some beautiful shots were seen in the innings played by both these players and also the match ended with a majestic six. The Heroes won the match by 7 wickets.
In a very well made decision, both Kemp and Boje were awarded the Man of the Match with their unbeaten 66 and 61 runs. This was simply great going for these young lads!
